The Social Club has been running for a great number of years
and continues to enjoy a good membership. New members will be made very
welcome and we operate a 3 week trial period before asking you to join. |

Although we play badminton, table tennis and carpet bowls there are
other games in the “cupboard” which come out from time to time, such as
Boggle, Scrabble, Draughts. The focus is on having FUN. We are not
serious competition-level players! We enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits and
the opportunity to chat with others during the sessions. Our session runs from the first week in September until approximately May/June each year. |

Membership is currently £12 per annum with a weekly subscription of
£1.00 payable on the night/day. Visitors are asked to pay £1.50 for the
first 3 weeks after which membership will become payable. We are not a profit-making organisation and any surplus funds, after purchasing essentials such as shuttlecocks, tea, coffee and biscuits are donated to the Church and to charitable organisations suggested by Club members. In the last few years we have donated money to the Youth Angling , Impact Youth Group, the Boys' Brigade and the Sunday School. If you’d like to give us a try, just come to one of the sessions or contact one of the Committee – you’ll be made very welcome! |
